Interplay was set up in 2003 by Tony Delahoy, who at that time was already a playworker with nineteen years experience on adventure playgrounds and other play projects.
He set up the company in response to the increase in demand for quality training in the play, playwork and childcare sectors. At the time most playwork training was being delivered by early years practitioners rather than playworkers. It was the start of the expansion of the playwork sector instigated by the Blair government. Which resulted in a rapid expansion of play and playwork provision across the United Kingdom.
Interplay Training and Consultancy quickly became established and was well known in the playwork field as a provider of dynamic, playful and engaging high-quality training and development.
Interplay have continued to deliver training and consultancy services over the years. Interplay has also expanded the range of services that it now provides.
